About Me

Hi, I’m Jacinta, a marriage celebrant based on the beautiful Central Coast of New South Wales. I grew up between Sydney and Auckland, New Zealand and have lived on the Coast for the past 2 years.

I have been lucky in my working career to have great roles that let me meet incredible people. I have lived and worked in countries such as Mongolia, Kenya, Thailand, and Vanuatu, working on community development and humanitarian programs. I have always loved doing work that is part of something bigger than myself. I have a strong sense of social justice and a passion for making things better.

BUT I love marrying people and working in the wedding industry - it is the most amazing vibe. Families come together, your crew make the effort, couples look each other in the eye and speak about how special and amazing their person is to them - I won't lie, I often get emotional when you are! And by marrying people I get to meet amazing people and give my clients the best service for their wedding - and have them start their marriage with strong positive vibes.

I also speak Spanish (¡yo también hablo español!) and love learning languages.

While I live on the Coast with my partner, I work across the Central Coast, Hunter Valley, and Sydney — and I’m always happy to travel a little further for a love story.

Other things I love include coffee, my family and travel for fun.

If you're planning your wedding, I’d love to meet you and help make it official — in a way that feels just right for your vibe.

The joke is that I became a marriage celebrant because when my sister got married she didn't ask me to be a bridesmaid - so I had to inject myself into the wedding party somehow ;)

However, all jokes aside, marrying my sister and brother in law was one of the greatest honors of my life, and I will take your wedding just as seriously.

I ACTUALLY became a celebrant because I love the vibe of weddings, electric love and because I love meeting cool people from all walks and providing a service that really makes people happy.

Why I became a celebrant

Fun Facts About Me

I lived in Mongolia for a year, where it regularly reached down to -32 in the winter - but the heating is way better than in Australia so I could sleep in a t-shirt! This is where my love of language learning started - studying Mongolian was genuinely fun - сайн уу!

I am the MASTER of the commute - I commute into Sydney and do my best work on the train - that’s where you will get your hand crafted ceremonies that I write just for you. Something about being in motion helps me concentrate really well.

I went to Colombia on a whim and ended up meeting a beautiful Colombian man, and pushing myself to learn Spanish for our family <3

I actually just genuinely love weddings - I do this job not because I have to but because I really want to.

I volunteer in refugee advocacy in my spare time - I truly believe that everybody in this world is worthwhile and deserves safety, happiness and human flourishing.
